There are various small hottub having a power of 120V 20A, one just have to plug them in to a handy container. Even there are large hottubs set up for 120V power supply. One should be alert while installing hottub as it consumes most of the circuit capacity. So it is advised to everyone not to share the plugs of hair dryer, microwave or other electrical appliance/tools with hottub plug.  By this circuit breaker can be tripped. That’s why it’s better to use a separate circuit for the hottub no matter what size it is. The channel through which electric wires can pass runs back into the ground and out of the hottub where it reappears from the ground.

The hottub’s power supply is usually on the left side of the unit facing the removable access panel. Some of units have been built in PVC flex conduit heading to the power panel. If it is not already installed then you will need to install it first. By just running the conduit beneath the house and deck you can get rid of countless digging, if you have access beneath your house and the tub is on the deck. If you are using a small hottub which only need a 20 Amp Volt circuit then it’s better to use half or three quarter inch PVC conduit. GFCI can be used on the side of house or post within the reach of the hot tub attachment cord
